Head of the AG "Music and Brain" at the University Hospital Heidelberg. In my research focus I am engaged in brain research on auditory processing, subjective sound perception, musicality and musical learning. The main focus is on the neuroplasticity of special hearing abilities (e.g. absolute hearing, relative hearing, synaesthesia, overtone and root tone recognition), as well as special hearing deficits (tinnitus, noise sensitivity, hearing loss or auditory perception and processing deficits (AVWS) in connection with targeted hearing training).
